Who We Are

 Embrave has been a long time coming. We knew we needed a creative outlet from the high stress life of parenting rare conditions complex food allergies, and special needs. I love machine embroidery and sewing while Ken loves engraving and working with wood and slate.

One night, shortly after we set up our engraver, Ken and I were spit balling back and forth about how to brand ourselves. One of our girls hybridized the words “embroidery” and “engraving” and came up with EMBRAVE. It stuck!  Later, we find out it's an archaic word meaning 1) to make fine or impressive 2) to inspire with courage: make brave or daring.
