We all love the look of real wooden products in our home and kitchen areas, but they do require some simple maintenance. Below is a list of easy to follow care instructions for our wooden products.
- Never put wooden products in the dishwasher. The environment in a dishwasher is too harsh for the wood and strips any finish from the surface. Handwash with hot, soapy water then dry and store.
- Reapply finishing wax or oil often. This seals the wood and slows down the appearance of cracks in the wood. We recommend using food safe finishing compounds whether you are using it for food purposes or decoration. The most popular options are made from beeswax and/or mineral oil.
- Scratches are normal. These can occur from knife usage or metallic drinkware. If the scratches are not on the lasered design you can use a fine sanding paper to buff them out then reapply a finishing compound to seal it. We do not recommend sanding over lasered designs as this can remove them.
